Product Information
The proposed innovative RF module and antenna aim to advance 5G/6G communication and radar systems.
The RF module surpasses conventional SMD products by incorporating semiconductor and display materials, allowing simultaneous implementation of multiple elements for enhanced RIS and antenna performance. This optimized manufacturing process not only reduces production costs but also facilitates mass production, contributing to the industrialization and commercialization of 5G/6G communication. Similarly, the antenna, designed for repeaters and mobile devices, integrates semiconductor and display materials, considering their characteristics for high efficiency and gain.By controlling the utilized semiconductor and display materials, the antenna enables to transmission of the signal in the desired direction.
The proposed Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) and antenna incorporate semiconductor processes and display materials to integrate active components into unit cells and antennas. In the RIS, these elements are utilized to integrate active components into unit cells, allowing electrical control for the transmission and reflection of RF signals in desired directions. Similarly, the integration of antennas with active components allows for beam steering in the desired direction without the need for a phase shifter. Implementing reconfigurable components in the middle of the RIS and antenna fabrication process not only enhances performance but also simplifies the manufacturing process. As a result, the proposed RIS and antenna achieve high performance, facilitate mass production, reduce costs, and streamline the process, making them viable for the commercialization of 5G/6G communication.
The proposed Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) and antenna utilize semiconductor processes and display materials to implement active components, enabling the transmission of electromagnetic waves in the desired direction. Particularly, through co-design with active components, it is possible to enhance aperture efficiency and gain, dramatically. Additionally, integrating active components into the antenna and RIS allows for miniaturization. Therefore, if the frequency is specified, it is possible to create RIS and antennas capable of beam steering with optimal performance in terms of efficiency and gain.
